How to read a Singapore demand signal
A short read on how to interpret DemandIntel scores and live layers without overreacting to a single number.
The score is a decision shortcut, not a prophecy. The best read comes from the combination of score, live feeds, and timing window.
A demand signal is only useful if you know what it should change. The number on its own is not the product. The real value is understanding whether the signal is live, modelled, or reference-only, and what action it should trigger.
Start with the decision, not the score
Ask the practical question first: should you move now, hold, protect rates, watch a district, or ignore the noise? The score helps answer that, but it is not the end of the analysis.
Use the source labels properly
Live feeds deserve more weight in the near term. Modelled layers are useful for structure and forecasting. Reference layers help with context, but they should not be mistaken for current movement.
Look for stacked evidence
The most trustworthy signals usually combine a strong score, a clear time window, and at least one live feed that explains why pressure is building. If only one layer lights up, treat it more carefully.
What to watch next
Watch for agreement across layers. The strongest calls happen when score, timing, and live feeds point in the same direction.
